In the article "The Road to Hyperpolyglottery with Michael Erard" there is a podcast interview of 33 minutes length with him about his book "Babel No More".
Topics of the interview:

I've also ordered the book and I am very much looking forward to reading it. I'm glad to see polyglottery discussed in the media, even the full extent of the topic can't be conveyed in a brief article.
I'd gladly take part in a discussion, although I don't consider myself to a polyglot (I need a few more years, at least!). I have thought of a question already but will wait to see if it is discussed in the book. Also, if there are any readings in the New York/New Jersey metro area, I will try to attend.

Just got my copy today and am already in chapter two. Its not much to go on, but so far
its pretty interesting with its description of Mezzofanti. Also, it has lots of pages of
notes, often a good sign.

There is a newspaper article about the hyperpolyglot Emil Krebs (1867-1930) written by Michael Erard.

"Over the last 456 days, according to Alexander’s spreadsheet, he’s spent 4,454 hours (about 40 percent of the 10,944 hours of those 456 days) on languages" [Adventures with an Extreme Polyglot: Excerpt from 'Babel No More']
This averages as almost 10 hours a day over 15 months - absolutely breathtaking commitment!

I can't even coming close to touching that. I wish I could. I haven't seem anyone posting their thoughts yet on the book. I picked my copy up on Tuesday when it was released but have been so tied up with work this week that I haven't gotten past the first 10 pages. I'm really looking forward to hearing people's thoughts, especially some of our own hyper-polyglots like Iversen, Fasulye, and the number of others that frequent our forum.
