Well, Han Ye Seul's movie came out on the internet, so I was busy watching that this weekend. Haven't done much the past two days because I couldn't sleep for the past two days. Anyway, the plan is the same, to find more ways to work on output. I need to get back to writing more and speaking more, but I have been writing more in Korean on Facebook with the Korean friends I made online.

It's a good movie with plenty of funny parts in it.

Today I translated an article about Han Ye Seul. I think translation is a very powerful tool for learning, because when you translate, you know right then and there what words you don't know and what grammar you don't know. Words tend to stick more easily to me too. I mainly translate articles about/interviews with actresses since most of the Korean entertainment sites mainly focus on drama articles or on the actors.

Also started SRSing again. This time I'm only putting words and grammar structures into the SRS that I've actively used before (writing and/or speaking), so that I can remember the words easier.

You don't use subs right? And you can still understand everything in the movie?

Nope, I don't use subs and I don't understand everything. That's the thing I learned with language learning: stop waiting until you're "ready".

Don't wait until you're ready? What if you get really sucked into the characters/plot and then you completely
fail to understand something that might be really funny or interesting? O.o ... How does one deal with that?
Of course I'm thinking of myself here and wondering if I should stop using subs even though I would only rate
my Japanese as upper beginner and not intermediate.
