Thank you guys! =)
Currently, my focus is on Russian and Dutch.
I'm also always trying to improve my English accent (which is bad now) and my Italian, but I won't be logging it.
See you guys in 1 hour! By the way, I'm Fabricio!

Hello Guys:
I'm Gustavo, from Mexico city. I fell in love with Russian since I was 14, but just a year ago I could study it on a regular basis.
I find the log a very good idea. So far I have gone a long way since the basics, you know, кто это? Это книга. However I still don't understand radio talk shows (I catch a word now and then) and newspaper articles are a pain in the neck. I hope that hard and consstant work will give me a better understanding of this beautiful language. We'll keep in touch.

I don't know if this could be useful for you guys, but in order to reading practice in basic Russian I recommend the books of Herder editorial (a Spanish publishing house based on Barcelona, there is a little book on Russian history and another one on Russian folk stories.
Also, there are two apps (I don't know if I can mention trademarks) for mobile phone (the one with the apple): TuneIn Radio, and RusTV pro. The first one is useful for radio listening and the second allows you to watch Russian TV channels.

Hello everyone. I hope the skype session went well. Unfortunately I was bogged down by a bad cold. But
looking forward to future meetings! My log will be up and running in a few hours, hopefully. Until then.
Good luck, everyone!

Happy New Year, everyone!
I just wanted to pop in to report on our first Skype session. Despite some minor technical snafus, it went
splendidly! We had SolfridCristin (Cristina), ruskivyetr (Derek), Teango (Mark), FabricioCarraro (Fabricio) and
myself (Kat) in attendance. I am pleased to say that everyone is way too nice for their own good.
We all agreed that future Skype sessions would be invaluable, and, moreover, fun! To all those who couldn't
make it this time around: No worries! There's always next time!
Speaking of, we need to establish when our next session should take place, and come to some consensus on how
often--if, indeed, we want to apply some consistency--the Skype sessions should be. Once a week? Once every
two weeks, or once a month? I assume that weekends are, generally, the preferred time of week?
I know I myself have classes and work during the week, so, depending on the time, weekdays would be tough to
make.
Post with your preferences, please!
PS: Isasbliss, sorry that we couldn't catch you the other day! You seemed to be having some connection
difficulties. :(

Guys, it was great meeting all of you on the chat yesterday! Everyone is very nice and funny, I hope we'll do it again soon. Too bad I had to leave sooner.
Anyway, Kat, I prefer doing it on Sundays, which is usually a "dead" day for me, but Saturdays are also good for me. I think you could always do it like yesterday, 14h - Brazilian time, it was perfect for me!
Regarding the frequency, once a week or every two weeks are both fine.
Did you guys "study" anything in Russian after I left? We should establish some "methods", trying to speak Russian maybe =)
Well, I'm looking forward to our next meeting! Bye bye! =)

Yeah, the internet here in the countryside wasn't that great yesterday...
As Fabricio said, 14h is OK, and Sunday is a perfect day too.

I couldn't make it but in the future, weekends work best for me, especially Sundays.
