привет! I know there's a lot of members already, but maybe you've got space for one more? My main language resolutions for 2012 are Persian and Russian (both currently A1); for the former I've found company in Team ɬ, but my Russian is a little lonely now and needs encouragement, too. So can I come in, please? I'll bring чай...

You are most welcome to the team Sputnik, jellyfish! Just announce yourself in the official thread, and lead me to your log as soon as it is ready. And I think with that we have a team so large that we now will have to consider the team complete, and will take no new entrants. We are 16 members, which I think is as many that are manageable, so if there are more people wanting to join, they will have to start up a new team, or join a mixed team. I am happy that there are so many who want to study Russian, and I really look forward to doing my learning in a really big and enthusiastic group. I love having people stopping by my log, and I am sure you are all in the same boat. With this group, we should be able to give eachother enough encouragement and support, even if one is on a vacation, one is preparing an exam and one is down with the flu. So let's start the craziest, the richest, the fullest and the most meaningful language learning experience of our life - The TAC 2012. Remember "The sky is no longer the limit". Thanks, Cristin! I've posted in the big TAC thread, and someone seems to have contacted the admin about the posting bug, so hopefully that should be resolved soon. :) Really looking forward to this - I think 2012 shall be a linguistically fruitful year!

Are we ready for a new Skype session tomorrow, Sunday at 17.00 Norway/Sweden time - and 14.00 Brazil and all the other times around? (I believe it was 8.00 in California and 11.00 in New York, but look it up earlier in the thread).
I really hope so, not only because I really look forward to meeting more members of team Sputnik, but also because that would get me away from dinner with the inlaws for an hour,which would be great! I do not think I have all on you added on Skype - and I suspect that neither has Tecktight which is crucial, as she is the one who can call up the others. Therefore,please announce whether you intend to participate tomorrow, and if you are not already connected with the rest of us, then please tell us your Skype name here in this thread as soon as possible. Hi, everyone!
I'm so sorry I've been absolutely neglecting HTAL and TAC for the past week or so. I just got back to uni and it's been absolutely crazy trying to get back in the groove with five classes, my jobs, etc. Anyway, I can make it tomorrow, but only for about an hour, since I have work at 12.00 NY time. I'm going to go back through the thread and see who has confirmed for tomorrow. Skype, it seems, can only host a maximum of 10 people, so if we have more than that coming, I'm going to investigate some other options before tomorrow. If it's the case that we will regularly be having 10+ people, I'm going to purchase a Ventrilo ("Vent" for short) server for us, which can cost unlimited numbers. If that happens, I'll of course post download/user instructions. Vent, unfortunately, doesn't have video, but, with it, no one has to "host" a session. It's basically open 24/7 so whenever you log on, you can chat with whomever happens to be there. You'll have your log-ins and can use the server at any time (ex: if you want to practice one-on-one with a friend, or what have you) Will update this post in a few min.
