We could do some kanji drills on IRC if there's anyone interested. (Or kana drills for that matter, but it seems everyone could pass at least N3 here, apart from me of course.)
I'm looking forward to your point of view on this particular matter.

P.S.: What is everyone's level in Japanese?

I think I'm on the road between A2 and B1. I'm not too familiar with that scale.

Stifa:

It is very difficult to judge your own abilities in any case and especially with an unfamiliar scale. You can also have different skill levels in different areas.

I'm probably about a B1 in reading and an A1 in everything else.

B1/B2 here. Please don't ask me to write anything by hand though. ;-)

Hi guys.

This is a triple, cross-team post. I've finally sat to write a bit about me and about my languages at my TAC'13 log so you all can get to know (all who don't, that is) a bit more about me, and thus have an idea of what to expect -- maybe even drop by and comment.

Over the next couple of days I'll try to hunt down all your individual logs or posts about yourselves so we're even ;)

May I recommend that those of you who have written self-introductions in the middle of team threads paste them at the beginning of their individual logs so they're easier to locate, especially for those who, like me, belong to more than one team...

Self assessment is tough. I have a JLPT N3 certificate and I think overall you could call my Japanese B1. My listening (strongest skill) might edge towards B2 on a good day, but my speaking (weakest skill - not enough chance to practice) is more towards A2 on a bad day. I feel like I've been at an intermediate level since forever, but in reality it's probably only been since around 2011 (and I started from scratch in summer 2008).

It feels too soon to start a 2013 log, since I am still regularly updating my 2012 one, so I hope you'll forgive me if I hold back until after Christmas on that!

Then, reading is B1 (I can read almost everything in Minish Cap (不思議な帽子) without it
being too uncomfortable)... Anything else is A2-B1 I think, and Speaking is A1-A2-ish I
think.
