But now it is more: Study every single day for at least 1 and a half hour (or more). Audio, reading and writing, grammar. I want to be able to speak and have conversaitions by the summer.

That's a good goal. I wish I could have conversations by the summer too, though I don't know. I don't think I can study so much time for the entire year.

It's great to see your progress and dedication. You may already know about it, but Deutsche Welle (similar to BBC World Service) has some great resources for German learners on their website, including courses and podcasts for a variety levels. Many of these are in a story format and often have both audio and written transcripts. You could start with the beginner level material and work your way through as your language level improves.

Viel Glück to you from a Schnitzel teammate!

Pimsleur, first cd, lesson 2.
No writing today.

I predict this is going to be a mostly audio TAC for me.

Hello, mate! :D
I have also used pimsleur, indeed it is great to get you speaking imediately. Have you tried Michel Thomas? It's an audio course as well.
Best of luck for your studies!

I have tried M.T., in fact it was the first course I met that was all audio. I liked it a lot. I really don't know why I am stuck with Pimsleur!
Best luck to you as well!

I'll be starting German from scratch myself next year. Watching your log will give me a nice preview. Good luck! :-)
