I am however hoping that Josquin could be persuaded to head the Russian team. He has been a great team mate, and I think he could do a great job as a leader, as he is very focused, positive and hard working. Josquin, could you be persuaded into taking over the reigns? :-) |

I would be honoured to do so. That is, if the team agrees, of course!
I feel like I have some big shoes to fill though. You have been an inspiration as captain of Team MIR, Cristina!

I'd like to register my interest for participating with Thai and Polish; I'll decide later whether I really want to commit. For Thai, a rare languages team would be cool. Or Team Lazy* where you don't need to write a log of your own and just post updates and stuff on the team thread. For Polish Team Żubr or its successor, if there is one, would be it.
*I had something like a "log burnout" this year and took a break from doing anything HTLAL-related for the last two months or so after reaching my goals a bit ahead of time… I've since abolished keeping track of my language activities. Feels great. Won't go back to counting hours or pages anytime soon.

Haha Team Lazy.
I think it would be fine if some members used only the team thread. This would help keep it alive too. Would you be fine with having the "observer" status? perhaps we need a more inclusive wording to cover the people who are actually learning the language but don't want to have a log.

My traget languages as Danish and Norwegian.
1. Danish (now: A2 / goal: B1)
2. Norwegian (now: A1 / goal: A2)

Well my connection is not the best nowadays
(should be fixed soon) but I'd like to officially
sign up for next year! To be honest an Asian team
would have been the best for me but it doesn't
look like it is going to take form.
So I'd like to register for the Korean team, the
Chinese team (no separation cantonese or mandarin
would be the best as I have interest in cantonese
as well). i am also interested in the non common
languages team for Ainu but to be honest I might
downgrade the to observer or change to try
something else (Thai, Indonesian or Hungarian
surely) later next year if life decides so.
I will not sign up for Japanese officially but
will be lurking around the jap logs.
I will this time around directly go in the
wanderluster category for Norwegian instead of
being the Scandinavian team's shame again :)
Apart.from that, although I wont have time to be a
proper godfather for French, dont hesitate to ask
me anything!Im always up for helping!

Okay, while not the most active TAC participant, my recent burst of passion for learning Portuguese has
inspired me to join Team Iberia, due to the lack of a dedicated Portuguese team..
My goal is to get from nothing (or let's say: basics) to B1; though by the start of 2014 I think I'd be at A1
and moving forward. This will be my main focus for the coming year, with only a bit of distraction in Farsi
due to the two bottles of South African wine at stake in a language bet I made.
I might be a bit ambitious here... not sure.

I'll be happy to join either team Iberia, or, if that team won't garner enough members, any team for intermediate+ Spanish learners.
I'd also like to be an observer for the Turkish team.
