I was wondering: are there people interested in a TAC team for really advanced ESL (English as a second language) learners? By advanced I mean above CEFR C1 (working towards or at least in the framework of CAE or CPE).
I know that yuhakko and Via Diva might be interested. Anyone else?

Well, I am interested, but I'm not sure that I'm even B2. I hope it
doesn't affects observers then :)

It seems to me that you could be Team Mandarin leader, would you mind?

So, as this is my first year participating, I'm anxious to see how this all works. What do we need to do to get the Mandarin Team thread open so we can start introducing ourselves and voting on team name and stuff.
How do we get that going? |

You need a leader. He/she needs to have TAC experience or at least HTLAL experience. Like knowing how the forum works, and especially being a member long enough to be able to post links and PM people.
Also, much like with Team Iberia, nothing will change for you if the team is Chinese rather than only Mandarin, but some people will be able to join with Cantonese (definitely no separate team in sight).
And last year Brun Ugle's minimum for starting a team was 5 members.

So I'm not completely sure how this works, but I guess I'll post my language goals and see if any teams would be interested in having me as a member. Can we be in multiple teams for different languages?
Anyways here are my main 2, I'd be interested in joining any team as an active member.
French: High Beginner ---Goal---> Solid Intermediate and read at least 1 book on Film History in French.
Cantonese: Beginner 350 Characters ---Goal---> 1000+ characters
The the other 2 I'm studying but might drop if I get too busy, but I'd be interested in joining a team as an observer.
Russian: Comfortable Beginner ---Goal---> High Beginner
Hungarian: Scared and Confused ---Goal---> Slightly Confused, but not so scared

I'd be interested in joining a Korean team, or an Asian languages team if the Korean team falls through. Korean's definitely my primary focus, with any other languages (only French, for the time being) a distant second.
I'll definitely be studying...
Korean: B1 -> B2/C1 (all skills)
French: A2 -> B2/C1 (reading/listening skills only)
I may also pick up...
Russian: A2/B1 -> B1 (reading/listening skills only)
Japanese: A0 -> A1 (reading/listening skills only... maybe)
But it's still up in the air.

With regards to the Korean team, I guess that
makes me its leader then. I will make a thread
when I return from holiday on Thursday.

I would also like to sign up for french, in whatever team there is, as an observer at first, if possible. I was a member of Nebun last year, Id be happy to continue there if it's ok. Or be in a new team, as there will probably be a new one.
