Yes, definitely. Unless it's July. It won't be this year though :-)

I've just finished watching my first 大河ドラマ, 「天地人」.
It's set in the "warring era" so the language is a bit old fashioned and difficult
(even with subtitles), but certainly much easier than 七人の侍. I'll probably switch
back to contemporary dramas now, but it's certainly given me a sense of accomplishment
to have managed to get through all 47 episodes.
I've also been watching 名探偵ホームズ, which is a kids cartoon based (very, very loosely)
on Sherlock Holmes but with all the characters as dogs. This one I've been watching
without subtitles and I've found it easier going than I thought I would. once I've
reached the end, I'll probably re-watch at least some of the episodes with subtitles to
see what effect that has.

I should review my August goals while I think about what to set for September.
Main Goals:
1. Continue listening to dialogue tracks.
No problems here.
2. RTK: I'll continue to keep this up to date. I didn't do any during my holiday and I've not
got back into it yet, so there's a bit of catching up to do (about 356 reviews pending right now).
Caught up without any problems.
3. Anki: Kanji. I just need to keep this one ticking over. This one has fallen behind for the
same reason as RTK.
All caught up.
4. Anki: Vocabulary. At the moment I'm activating the N2 vocabulary, which I downloaded from
memrise. It came with kana but no kanji, so that means I need to tidy up each entry as I go.
It's taking me about one hour for 100 words (tidying + activating). Maybe 25% of them I already
know, so that's handy. I have just under 2000 words still to activate. At 500/week I should
manage to do that in August.
Again, no issues. I do have a backlog of more than 3500 reviews right now, but I've cleaned
up the N2 entries, which is what I wanted to achieve.
.
5. 日本語総まとめ N2 文法. As I've just finished Week 6 of 8 I should be able to get to the end of
this quite easily in August.
No problems here. I've since stalled a little when moving on to 新完全マスター N2 文法, but
that's a target for another month!
6. I'm going to read at least 50 pages for the Super Challenge each week.
I've certainly managed 50 pages per week on average over August but not "at least
50 pages" for two of the weeks. technically I've met the goal, but I want to push for consistency next
month.
7. I'm going to watch at 3 hours of drama/anime for the Super Challenge each week. It will be
a mixture of with and without subtitles, according to what I'm watching.
watching drama and/or anime is really easy to find the time for. 3 hours wasn't much of a
challenge, so I'll raise the bar next month.
Optional Goals:
A. I'm going to work through at least 5 NHK News articles each week.
I did read some NHK News but nowhere near enough to meet this goal. That's OK though as I
did do plenty of real reading, so I don't mind not managing this one. Really though I should be able to
manage one article each day at lunch during work. So I'll probably keep this goal for next month.
B. I'm going to shadow 3 JPOD101 Lower Intermediate lessons each week.
I simply put spare time towards other activities. The only way I'll push myself to do this
one is to make it a main goal. So I'll do that next month.

Some goals for September.
Main Goals:
1. I'm going to read at least 50 pages for the Super Challenge each week.
2. 新完全マスター N2 文法: one chapter each week. There are three full weeks left this month and I've already been through the first chapter, so
I'll set myself the target of completing up to chapter 4.
3. I'm going to shadow 3 JPOD101 Lower Intermediate lessons each week.
4. Continue listening to dialogue tracks.
5. RTK: I'll continue to keep this up to date.
6. Anki: Kanji. I just need to keep this one up to date.
7. Anki: Vocabulary. I'll just keep plugging away. No specific target other than, say, at least 90m each week.
8. I'm going to watch at 3 hours of drama/anime for the Super Challenge each week. It will all be without subtitles.

I've finished reading ほのかのひかり. The postscript proved quite a challenge as it
contained no quoted speech, so it was 10 pages of densely written text.
I've already decided on the next novel, but before I tackle it I want to re-read the
graded readers as I'm hoping my reading speed (and comprehension) will have improved
since the last time I read them (two full books ago).

What approach are you taking to working through your grammar textbooks?
