Weekly streaks however would be absolutely fantastic, because that would keep us on our toes, and foster consistency without us breaking our necks:-)

What Jeffers said. :D

I like the idea of weekly streaks too. I think it would also give a nice visual over the full challenge in how fast my reading improves.

The new page looks cool. Although I haven't looked at all the new details yet, since I'm being blinded by a new Firefox. :/

some months have passed, and we are getting low on blood sugar and motivation, we could have mini
challenges such as:

- read as many pages in the TL as possible in one day/week
- see how many words you can read in 10 minutes, and measure it again every second month to see
progress
- see how many unknown words you need to look up in one page - measure again after some time.
- jot down at least 50 words from a film you watch
- or any other proposal this very creative crowd can come up with :-)

The Super Mini challenges - for reviving motivation :-)

I really like this idea, and the specific suggestions. Occasional additional mini-challenges to make the Super Challenge more intereting and revive our flagging spirits.

I agree to everyone who likes the badges and streaks and stars etc. They are great.
However, I don't really like the interface of the new profile page.. It is a bit
confusing.. It's not bad, but I think that if you could manage it make a passage for
every language and then for books and films..
At the moment it's just written everything one below the other like this

english
books
1
2
3
films
1
2
3
spanish
books...

you get the idea... and I ask for spaces between the languages like

English (maybe also bold)
books (maybe italic)
1
2
3

films
1
2
3

etc.. it is then at least for my impression better to view, what one has already done
so far and in which languages instead of a huge list where one has to search for what
are the films and what are the books..
Like I said, it's nothing really important, but I don't think that it would be very
complicated to change that, would it? Just a suggestion though.. ;-)
I'm really happy that you programmed this whole bot stuff and really think it's great
:)

EDIT: ok, forget about what I said. I just reloaded the page (thanks to tamises
suggestion) and it worked fine now. I might have gotten to the false page with the
bookmark, however now the bookmark works fine.. I really enjoy this new design now :D

Komma - I think you might be having the same problem I did earlier. The updated page has a picture of books in the background and has green backgrounds for some of the text (sorry, nowhere to upload a picture).

When I went back to the page a second time it looked fine - though I did try to open it in Chrome first which is where I saw it displayed correctly first. Firefox worked the second time though.

Hey Tamise,
you are right. I updated the page and now it's green and totally different and looks
awesome :O
I should change my bookmark. This might be the problem ;-)
Thank you for posting this, this really helped :D

OMG I finally saw the new design! Amazing!!!
No need to change your bookmark, the URL is the same. If anyone still sees the old design, clear your cache or if you don't know how, just refresh the page repeatedly until the design changes.

Also, the buggy graphs thing seems to happen only if my browser has been open for a while. looks fine after restarting Firefox, but after a while it gets confused :O

Surrealix, would it be possible to put less space between languages on the main page? For those who have multiple languages?

It seems really (vertically) spread out. With Serpent at the top, she takes up almost my whole 23" screen. LOL. Assuming you are using a table of some sort, it would just be a matter of making the height of each row a little smaller.

Obviously, it's not a big deal, it just makes for a lot of scrolling.. Especially with 18 languages between the top two on the list! hehe

Yeah it seems like the height is determined by the size of the two lines with the name and twitter ID. Using rowspan should save some space :)
