Hope things settle down for you, dear Solfrid Cristina. I intended to devote the weekend to Russian, but real life interfered, as it tends to do. Ah well.
Russian: currently 30 minutes to read 5 pages of a very basic graded reader (15 actual pages, but the type is large and doesn't cover the entire page) and watched a TV comedy without subtitles (probably understood 25%). Things can only improve from here.

When does a week start and end? I lost track, is it Sunday?

Yes.

is the calculation done differently or is there a rounding error?

Good spotting, the calculation was done differently. I've changed it so they're both
the same now, it should be less confusing.

This is now implemented :). If you've done any sort of study since the week ticked over, you'll
see a small check mark on the badge on your user page. This means you're safe for the week. If
you don't have a check mark, it means you are in danger of losing the streak if you don't do
anything before the week ends.

I'd like to say a huge THANK YOU for the twitter bot. It's so easy to keep track of minutes, and very motivating to
see my count go up (very slowly - I'm definitely in "marathon" mode rather than sprint). I really appreciate all of
the hard work that's gone into this challenge!
It's really not a big deal, since I don't worry much about the rankings page, but I'm wondering if I've missed
something about streaks. I've updated 5 times so far (May 11, 17, 24, 31, June 7), logging 5 films and 8 books.
There's nothing next to my name on the rankings page. (I'm Stephanie / twitter handle @tobefluent). Am I
missing something? Is it because some weeks I log less than a full book or movie? Or have I not met the
minimum number of updates yet?
Also - if it's not too much trouble, I wonder if it would be possible to put some kind of a legend on the page, so
that we can see what each symbol means.
Happy reading/watching, everyone!

Wow, that's *a lot* of stuff going on. Take care of yourself and your family! I hope that things settle down soon!

Thanks :). It's great seeing everyone using it, it really makes the time put into it seem
worthwhile. (completely aside from the fact it's helping me learn a language too ;-) )

The "week" ends sometime on a Sunday, the exact time depends on your time zone. It looks like May
11th and 17th were both counted as the same week. If you look at your
user page
you can see that the streak badge is at 4 weeks (and there's no tick - so nothing has been counted
for this week yet). If you report something before Friday, and then again next week, you'll get
the badge on the front page.

Yes, I think this is a good idea, although I'm about to pack up and move halfway across the world,
so I may not have the time to do it for a while!

Thank you! I didn't even know I had a user page. Ha! And now I see that this morning a streak badge appeared
next to my name on the main page.
Good luck with the move! :)

Where to, Surrealix? I'm also moving soon, from Netherlands back to the U.S., so the craziness is about to begin ;-).
Have done this a few times already, so nothing surprising, but still an amazing amount of stuff to do for an
international move. So much fun...

I have to say, the Super Challenge really doesn't seem as super this time around. It's strange to see that some participants are nearing half a challenge after only 40 days in a challenge which is supposed to run for over a year. But it's still great to see so much activity already (and I'm glad the number of pages were cut in half).
All the badges are very cool. The only thing I think is given away a bit too freely are the stars. I thought we get a star for every 25 books + 25 movies, not one for each. I really like that the challenge focuses on both reading and listening skills and on improving those at the same time. Could that be reflected in the star system? Or is everyone happy with that as it is?
