Checking in, since I'm sure everyone has forgotten about me by now. I started German last December and did make wonderful progress between December and the end of March, and then.....faded. In the last 6WC I think I only ended up with 3 hours.
So after going back and forth, I've decided to return to Spanish for the rest of the year--I don't use it in daily life (at work) like I used to and found I had trouble understanding clearly spoken Spanish that I didn't used to. I've also found I'm not the type to study two languages at once. So I'll see all of you when I return to German at the end of the year. :) 2 persons have voted this message useful | |||

Hey guys, sorry I couldn't make it to our team first chat. I was away during the morning and on my way back I saw that all streets leading to the city centre, where I live, were blocked because there were some concerts so I couldn't go back home.
I was wondering if we will have text-only chats in the future? I don't know about the average team level, but maybe for beginners (or people who have big troubles at speaking like me XD) a text chat could be a way to get some practice and feel more at ease. If it's too difficult to organise a group chat, one-to-one chats would be a nice alternative.
Das ist mein Problem mit Deutsch! Vor zwei Jahre probierte ich mit Anki und Deutsche Welle’s Top-Thema, neue Wörter zu lernen. Leider funktioniert dieses Method für mich nicht :/ @carlyd Best wishes for your Spanish study :) 1 person has voted this message useful | |||

Das macht nichts, Sofia. Ich freue mich darauf mit dir zu schreiben/sprechen, beides wäre lustig! Fälls ihr irgendeinen Tag kennt auf den wir ein Gruppegespräch machen könnten, dann sag mir Bescheid! Was das Erwerb vom Vokabularium trifft, würde ich das folgende empfhielen, was mir Sarnek gesagt hat u. was ich durch die Videos von Luca Lampariello gelernt habe. Um mehrere Wörter aufzunehmen MUSS man sein Leben durch die Sprache führen, das heißt man lernt die Wörter, als man sie braucht.
