PeterMollenburg - Thanks for the kind words Peter!
I didn't spend a huge amount of time learning French this week, but I'm pretty happy with how much I
managed considering how busy I am with uni at the moment. I missed one day of study due to the
flu, so that day I decided to re-watch the FiA lesson 8 video in bed, not perfect but think it was a
good idea to get the lesson back in my head after being away from FiA for a while. Other than that,
nothing really else of interest to report.
Assimil: Passive wave completed, lesson 69 active.
Week 18 10th May - 17th May

Max time spent: 1 hour 30 minutes and 2 seconds.
Average time per day: 28 minutes 43 seconds.
Weekly total: 3 hours 21 minutes 2 seconds.

I spent most of last week writing up a report for my linguistic class. Unfortunately I didn't have much
time to dedicate to French, but I managed to squeeze a little in.

Hey Meyers. I'm just checking in and it seems like you're making steady progress. Out of curiosity, have you started implementing native materials into your studies? and if not, when do you plan to?
keep up the good work; even if you can only get 15 minutes in on your busy days it's still enough to keep french fresh in your mind.

Completing the passive wave of Assimil is quite an accomplishment! Congrats! It won't be long from now
that you should start thinking about incorporating native materials. One of my favorites, and also others on
the board, is Le Petit Nicolas. The audiobook can be terribly fast, but the stories are classic and often made
me laugh out while I was reading!

fortheo & Mohave: Thank you both for the kind words and encouragement! In terms of native
material, I haven't thought a whole lot about it to be honest. I like keeping up with current events so I
regularly check out Le Monde to see the headlines etc, about half of my reddit feed is in French, I
also subscribed to as many interesting French YouTubers I could find.
I don't have Le Petit Nicolas, but I will look at getting a copy. So far I have Le Petit Prince which I
would like to read soon. My girlfriend recently bought me two books one called Le livre des étoiles by
Erik L'Homme and another which is a kind of comic book called Tom-Tom et l'impossible Nana. I will
like to start one soon, maybe during the semester break :)

Bit late for this weekly review, however I've pretty much finished all my uni work, I have one exam
later on in the middle of this month, but not too worried about that. So now that it's holidays I can
spend more time with French. Exciting!

Nice and consistent as per usual Meyers... Good work. A belated congrats from me too on completing Assimil
NFWE passive wave (i'm still yet to get there myself, dragging my feet). Well done on finishing your exams,
and hopefully the holidays prove very beneficial for your French.
