i write for say you goodbey becasue probably they will make me invisible again after jbbar has reported me and maybe porthunol as well. I hope your LOG will win the competition. i will continue read it. whne you're invisible it's your writting only, for exmaple it's possible to read the things and you're vsible for the people in your live. it was very fun to know you and good luck in yoru new job fasulye, i hope it will be nice there. No, I'm not in Catalunya yet (but later this month). I've just visited my mother and sister for a couple of days, and thar's why I have not been writing. Right now you is visible, and I hope it continues to be like that. Frankly, I can't see any reason to muzzle you, and if your LOL's and pictures and funny commentaries disappeared it would leave a big hole in this forum. FR: Je dois faire un peu attention avec l'usage du forum la semaine prochaine, parce que quand j'utilise l'internet tard le soir, je suis toujours tres fatiguée le jour apres. Pour cela j'étais beaucoup fatiguée cette semaine, mais en travaillant ça n'irait pas. Jar-ptisa avait des querelles politiques avec des gens dans un autre thread (j'ai lu cela) et dans mon opinion c'est plus prudent de ne se disputer pas politiquement dans ce forum en général. Moi, je m'en tiens strictement a cette regle.

I have now read that idiotic thread about 'language and identity'. As far as I can see there is more than one person to blame, but I still hope that it won't lead to any muzzlings.
SV: I väntan på resultatet jag bara nämna att jag har tillbringat kvällen med en liten bit av nederländska grammatik (Routledge), med ryska ordlistor och med en svensk ordräkning baserat på tre ordböcker, en liten, en mellan ock en ganska stor. Först "De stribede Ordbøger" Svensk<-->Dansk med cirka 20.000 uppslagsord i den svenska delen, vilket inte är mycket. Min uppskattning landade på bara 12.100, men detta motsvarar 61% av 20.000 lexemer ock inte mindre än 70% av de sidor som jag har räknat. Med Gyldendals Stora Svenska-danska ordbok blev det bara 33%, respektive. 36%, men ut af 92.000 lexemer, och estimatet av mitt ordförråd kom att låta på 30800 ord, - vilket är ganska högt. Den tredja ordboken var Langenscheidts Tysk<-->Svensk med 42.500 ord ock uttryck i vardera del. Här talte jag endast 4 sidor og fikk estimatet 32.100 ord = 67% på de räknada sidor. Mitt ordförråd ser på så sätt imponerende ut sammenliknat med de romanske språken. Här måsta man dog bemärka, at ett språk som svenska har månge sammensatta ord som har medräknets här, varimot de romanske språk har många ordliknande uttryk i flera led som inte har räknats. Det är mycket höga tal, i betraktande av att jag fastan inte har studerat svenska språket - men naboskap med danska ock många års TV-tittande har tydligen satt sina spår. ---------- While we wait... I have read some Dutch grammar, written several pages of Russian wordlists and made one more word count, this time for Swedish. With a small dictionary I got 12.100, but out of 20.000 that corresponds to 61%. With the Swedish half of the Langenscheidt dictionary I got an estimated 32.100 words, and finally with the large Gyldendals Svensk-Dansk ordbog (90.000 words) I got 30.800 words, i.e.33%. However there is an explanation behind these high numbers: Swedish has a lot of compund words, where the Romance languages are more likely to use expressions made up of 2-3 words. But this doesn't explain the high percentages of known words. The funny thing is that I have spent very little time on a formal study of Swedish, so the high numbers must be due to the proximity to Danish and thousands of hours spent on watching Swedish TV. ASTRONOMIE IM DEUTSCHEN FERNSEHEN
DE: Ich habe gestern Abend eine interessante Astronomiesendung im Fernsehen gesehen. Es war Teil der Serie: "Faszination Universum" mit Harald Lesch, das kommt nächsten Sonntag wieder auf ZDF, Sonntag von 19:30 Uhr bis 20:15 Uhr. Harald Lesch haben wir hier ja bereits im Internet bei BR Alpha kennengelernt. Ich finde, seine Sendungen bürgen für fachliche Qualität.
