GER: Genug Musik für Heute..
Ich habe meine Mutter besucht, und sie hat Astra, and da gibt's eine Menge deutsche TV-Kanäle. Ich habe bereits von meiner Versuchen erzählt, ein VHS-Band mit Plattdeutsch zu füllen. Ich habe aber gestern über BR (Bayerische Rundfunk) ein Programm namens "Nai uns dahoam" (Bwi uns daheim) gesehen, wo die Leute mehr oder weniger ausgeprägten Allgäuerisch gesprochen haben. Allgau ist ein gebiet auf der Grenze zwischen Tirol und Bayern, und wohl meist unter dem Schachspieler bekannt, weil es ein sogenanntes Allgäuergambit gibt. Aber diese Bergleuten haben uns mit ihrem Musik divertiert - und mich mit ihren Dialekt! Bereits das Wort 'dahoam' zeigt, daß Diphtongierung hier kein unbekanntes Begriff ist. So heißt "Guter Wetter" "gürrter Wäättor" auf Allgäuerisch. Andererseit habe ich "braun" als "brüon" gehört, und Milch heißt "müilch" - darum wird "misgespielt" natürlich auch als "mitgespüilt" ausgesprochen. Wie die Schreibweise "gürrter" zeigt, klingen einige Diphtongs als ob es sich hier ein 'r' eingeschlichen hätte: "Käse"--> "käärse", "Lab" als "Larb", "kriegt" als "kriergt" uzw. Das 'eigentliche R' wird im Allgäuischen als ein gerolltes R ausgesprochen (wir haben ja diese Frage vor ein paar Tagen debattiert), "do brüüs dï nich te spaRRRn" (da brauchst du nicht zu sparen). Und das alles wurde mit Zitarrenmusik, Jodeln und Alphörner garniert. Genug Deutsch für Heute.. FR: La télévision allemande montre bien des programmes de cuisine dans le studio, mais aussi beaucoup de programmes culinaires des quatre coins du monde. Et ce qui m'a choqué le plus pendant cette semaine c'était un programme sur la cuisine Française. Il est bien connu que les Français sont très fiers de leur cuisine, - à ce point qu'un président Français (Chirac ?) a eu une attaque hystérique quand quelqu'un lui a servi une verre de vin italien pendant une conférence quelque part). Mais surtout quand il s'agit de la haute cuisine je préfère laisser le champs aux gastronomes dédiés. Qu'on s'imagine le résultat d'une nouvelle didactique linguistique à l'instar de la nouvelle cuisine Française. On entre dans la salle d'enseignement, et aprés un quart-heure l'assistant vous donne la carte (Leçon numéro UN, Leçon numéro DEUX, ..., et une épreuve comme déssert). Une heure après que vous avez confié vos désirs culinaires au prof il vous porte un livre en folio. Au milieu de la première page vous pouvez juste distinguer trois substantifs et un verbe entourés de lignes fines de point-virgules et points d'exclamations, - c'est votre diner pour aujourd'hui, et c'est DIEU lui-même qui a apris à un pauvre sous-payé algérien comment le faire (avec l'emploi libéral de toutes les pires invectives dont la langue Française dispose). Et votre premier devoir est d'admirer l'oeuvre de DIEU comme un petit chien avec des grand yeux mouillés, sinon DIEU va être très déçu (et frapper à coup de pieds le pauvre algérien dans la cuisine). Votre deuxième devoir c'est evidemment de payer, - et je me suis laissé dire qu'il y'a seulement deux niveaux de prix dans ce genre d'établissements: "beaucoup trop" et "totalement ridicule". Vous croyez que j'exagère? Mais non, je viens de voir sur la télé allemande que le garçon d'un restaurant-gourmet a apporté des assiettes de verre avec un diamètre de 35-40 centimètres à quelques clients, mais la création artistique au milieu de chaque assiette aurait pu être caché sous une soucoupe ordinaire. Et les clients ont souri, pas pleuré... je n'y comprends rien. --------- I have visited my mother, who has BR (Bayrisches Rundfunk) from the Astra-Satellites, so instead of waiting for NDR to give me just 20 minutes of Low German to fill the rest of my Platt-tape I have decided to fill the hole with some Allgäuer dialect from the opposite end of Germany. It won't serve any purpose to translate my remarks about this dialect into English because you have to know German to know what I'm talking about. However I would like to mention that this dialect not only has a tongue-tip rolled 'r' (as discussed a few days ago), but also some delightful diphtongs - even more than standard High German, that also have it share of gliding vowels. This reminds me of some, if not all of the Romantsch dialects, where it is hard to find a pure vowel that isn't gliding somewhere. English also has a lot of these sounds, but the comparison with other dialects in the same area is more relevant. There is also a "Allgäuer" gambit in Chess, but it is mostly written as "Allgeier gambit" because nobody has heard about Allgau. In the French section I write about my impressions about gourmet restaurants, especially the kind that is famous for its excellent French cuisine. I imagine how a similar language lesson in a classroom would be like: you get a book as large as a modern flatscreen TV, but you have to look hard to find the soul food on the first page: three substantives and one verb, surrounded by fine lines of ;;;;'s and !!!!!'s. And you bet you will be paying through your nose for this creation. And if you don't look totally overwhelmed like a little doggie with big wet eyes, then the CHEF will be very angry both with you and with the underpaid illegal Algerian in the kitchen. Btw. I'm going to Strasbourg soon. I'm going to see several museums, a zoo and an aquarium in a nearby town, the famous cathedral and the old town surrounding it, but to be honest I don't think that I'll be eating French fodder in fashionable restaurants at all. Sort of equivalent to the English difference between "stay" and "remain" it seems. But don't sell your German capabilities short! You write much more eloquent English than I, a native speaker, do, and I'm a person considered by friends to have a knack for wordplay and vocabulary! FR: Vraiment tu as fait beaucoup de compositions! Iversen, tu as des experiences negatives et des raisons personelles pour abandoner la musique active. Je peux imaginer cela. Je suis au contraire: J'ai beaucoup de plaisir a musicier et je suis heureuse d' avoir des gens pour faire la musique ensemble.Quand je fais de la musique je suis tres enthousiaste. Mais mes activites de langues sont plus importants. Je fais de la musique a cote.
