I took the test in Swedish, which I started studying this September. I am not even
finished with my A1.2 course at a local folk school and this test placed me at B1. I left many questions with the "don't know" option checked, so I did no guesswork. I don't trust this :) 2 persons have voted this message useful | |||

It says to take them with a grain of salt. Some of these tests are fine for reading comprehension, but that's about it. There's a lot more to knowing a language than reading. I got B2 in Italian.
(I would rate my Italian: perception C2, production A2). And I don't even list Italian as a language I speak. I learned it for 2 years, 10 years ago, and that's all. I lost the interest in the language very quickly. I skipped the Portuguese test because it's an European Portuguese test, and I speak Brazilian Portuguese. And in one of the first questions you have to choose between Onde é que vão encontrar-se (Continental version) vs Onde é que vão se encontrar (Brazilian version). Hmm, it places my Polish at C2 (I answered 40 out of 40 correctly) and my Spanish at C1 (I only got 37 out of 40 right). I wish I wish I were really that advanced - I would place my Polish at B1 and my Spanish at B2, probably.
I also noticed the errors on the Spanish test. That kind of thing really annoys me, especially since such mistakes could be very confusing for beginners. 1 person has voted this message useful | |||

The mystery of the Czech test is solved!
You don't get any points for questions Nr. 27 and 31. As you can see, I was bored this evening :) Otherwise, the Czech test is different from the others, there are no tricky questions, all of it is everyday speech. Even a first grader would get all of it right and that's why I was perplexed! I am very unsure about the highest level it really tests. 1 person has voted this message useful | |||

Majka, I think it might be more obsession than boredom. I'm a native Spanish speaker and
also got 38 out of 40, LOL!! I won't try to find the mistake. I'm just gonna use it as the motivation I needed to read some good Spanish literature. Something I haven't done in longer than I care to admit. 3 persons have voted this message useful | |||
