Yes, "good job" to all the participants who improved their language skills. That is the point of it, after all. :-)
As for me, I didn't get as far in Icelandic as I'd hoped, but still it was progress. I have removed the ~mystery~ of the language, which feels like a win. I learned basic pronunciation, about 100 vocabulary words and a small overview of the grammar. That doesn't seem like much, but I started from 0 and didn't have as much time as I'd hoped, so... yeah. It's OK, I learned.
:wq!
P.S. For those interested, Icelandic resources that I used:
-Icelandic Language Guide (U.S. War Department 1944) from the web, a short "travel phrases" type of guide (without audio, though, sadly)
-Alaric Hall's Audio Course to Icelandic free from the web, a "home brew" Michel Thomas style course (needs some refining, but overall quite enjoyable)
-Anki deck of vocabulary, premade vocab study, felt "out of place" with my other materials since it didn't correspond directly to my other materials
-Also watched a small number of online videos, enjoyed the one that previously were part of Expert Village
My local libraries have Teach Yourself and Colloquial, but neither were available to me during the 6wc. :-/
