Hi,
I have a slightly unusual concern. I want to move from the UK to Spain soon but want
to take my "prestigious" UK mobile number with me. Permanently. Is it possible, does
anyone know?
I've visited the homepages for Vodaphone España and BT mobile (big in Spain, I hear)
to try get a "contact us" e-mail address but have had zero luck so far. I'd love to
know such an e-mail address for a Spanish mobile phone operator.
My PAYG number (07999xxx999) is supposedly worth over a thousand pounds and I'm
currently with O2, UK.
So, if I was to settle permanently in Spain (as an English teacher, for example, where
the number may help in acquiring new students), could I hand over a PAC code to a
Spanish operator and keep those last 9 digits??? I MOST DEFINITELY wouldn't wish to
pay "roaming" charges! :)
Would love to know. Thanks in advance. I doubt I'll be heading there for at least 6
months though.
Neil.
*Mods, please feel free to move to a more appropriate board if this isn't the right
one.

Maybe I misunderstand the whole thing (because I wouldn't even dream of using my Russian number anywhere else and even with a different operator in Russia), but it seems like it would not be a valid number in Spain.
Try contacting the company you've got your cool number from.

That's the wikipedia page, I should have gone looking for - Doh!
Well, thanks for that Serpent. I guess I'm going to have to sell it / give it away
should I ever make the move. I'll probably never "stumble upon" another similar number.
Oh, well. At least I have time to plan what do with this 'cursed' number...
:(
