I like the idea of an advanced English team, although I would likely be an observer (have got enough on my plate already).
Any word about Middle Eastern team? Alef hasn't worked out so well last year, so we might start afresh instead of continuing the old thread, but we need a godmother...

Damn! I'm still catching up with TAC logs and mumbling that I'll probably NOT enrol in TAC'14 and now you got me in -- I sooo hate this forum ;)

Well after participating in TAC 2012, then passing for TAC 2013 (mostly due to being way
too busy at work), I think I'm ready for another TAC year (even though I'm still very busy
with work currently, just not quite to the extent I was last year at this time). I haven't
decided on my goals yet, but joining the Korean team seems to be the obvious choice. I
plan to have goals for both Spanish and Korean this year (which will hopefully keep me
from prematurely burning out on Spanish again), but Korean has been the only real
constant during my entire time on this forum and I already follow all the Korean study
logs anyway.
Tarvos: One thing that almost made me regret not joining Team Crane for 2013
was the existence of monthly challenges. As such, I'd love to see those make an
appearance in Team Korean (or whatever it ends up being called) for 2014.

It seems to me that you could be Team Mandarin leader, would you mind? |

Thanks, I'm not sure I qualify as a team leader, though, and my Mandarin is still rather
rusty.

I think I've come to my decision at last, that this is the year that I resume my Russian
studies in earnest (currently maybe at A1 level?). (I'd been debating whether to
concentrate more on Russian or Modern Hebrew this year.) At present I've announced myself
in the Dutch team thread only, but it looks like the Russian team still has plenty of
room, too. I assume we haven't adopted any rules about belonging to multiple TAC teams (I
see one of my Dutch teammates is listed under the Russian team as well).

You would be most welcome on Team Russian, geoffw! We're indeed still recruiting. ;)
As far as I know, you can join as many teams as you want (or can handle...).

As of now:
-Dutch
-STARt
-Russian
-Uralic/Balto-Slavonic
-Iberia
-Chinese
-German
-Turkic (-ish)
-English (advanced)
-Scandinavian
-Korean
-Celtic
No official confirmation but there will clearly be a French team or two (divided by the level), there's some interest in Italian though not much, Polish and Czech seem okay too. I think that's all, but obviously not 100% sure. And there's still time to start a new team.
