Hello, I made up some sentences in English and would be grateful if someone could correct them.
1. When I was preparing for my university entrance exams, I did my homework everyday without fail.
2. I would steer clear of the question of pay rise at the moment, as the company experiences hard time.
3. After failing her exam she was in a terrible state, so I tried to console her.
4. It makes sense to buy property now because prices are low.
5. I decided to take advantage of his expertise and asked for his advice on investment.
6. I changed my mind and decided to go to France on holiday.
7. I was in charge of making reports.
8. I like to get up bright and early in the morning on the weekend.
9. I tried to get through to the doctor but he was away.
10. I wanted get in shape but it was in vain because I needed to cut back on sweets first.
11. After these exercises I was out of breath and my muscles hurt.
12. My friend Mike and I have a lot in common.
13. All out meetings dragged on for hours.
14. When we were crossing a field a movement caught my eye.
15. I have a wonderful supermarket on my doorstep.
16. I hate it when she arrives at the last minute just before the check-in at an airport closes.
17. I was a bag of nerves before that presentation in front of a huge audience.
18. It is best to keep out of my boss's way when he is in a bad mood.
19. Not many spectators showed up at the competition.
20. When I come across an interesting word, I jot it down and look it up later in a dictionary.

I might add a comma here or there, but then I'd have to think too hard :-)

I would steer clear of the question of pay rises at the moment, as the company is experiencing hard times.
Actually, although that's OK, I'd be much more likely to say "going through a hard time".
3. After failing her exam she was in a terrible state, so I tried to console her.
3 is fine. I just like the fact that this "console" and "computer console" have different pronunciations!
7. I was in charge of making reports.
Although the sentence isn't wrong as such, I'd prefer "writing" (or some other synonym, maybe even "creating") here.
8. I like to get up bright and early in the morning on the weekend.
I prefer "at the weekend" but your variant is probably fine.
13. All out meetings dragged on for hours.
"all out" does mean something but did you mean "all our" here?

Shouldn't boss's be just boss' because the word "boss" already ends in s?
