No, I didn't encounter any voseo in the

understand it but have no inclination to use it myself.

What podcast is that?

Edit: in order not to further hijack this log I'll express my thanks to tibbles for his
answer below in this edit: cheers.

Ok, just a post to mention that I fly late tomorrow. It's going to be one hell of a
long journey!

I will aim to update as soon as possible- I'm really tired right now!

hi dbag,

I have been 4 and a half months in South America. Been to Argentina, chile, Bolivia and
Peru. Out of those countries Argentina was by far the coolest. Good food, great
treking, safe lots of other foreign to plan trips with. you can't go wrong with this
one.
Although i must say that you should check out Colombia. I wasnt aware of what it had to
offer back then and now am going back there for two weeks. If i had known back then the
beauty of this country i would have stayed there most of my trip.
Colombia has so much things to offer in terms of culture, environment, treking,
beaches, people. Please consider reading about it a little, i don't want you to miss it
while you are there.
Im waiting for your updates offcourse and wish you a safe journey

I hope your trip is turning out to be everything you hope it would be; I'm looking
forward to updates.
I suspect lack of updates means it's a good trip :)

Hey guys! Thanks for all the interest! Just a quick update to let you all know im
alive! :)

Well, I,m still in Santiago, and I'm flying to Cordoba in Argentina tomorrow. If I like
it there I might stay a couple of weeks, and really begin to work on Spanish.

I must say I've probably had a couple of the best weeks of my life here! Although the
shame is that Ive got a little too caught up in partying, and not seen anywhere near as
much as I would of liked.

This might sound strange from someone who hangs out on a language site, but I am
beginning to really tire of constant discussions on the differences between British and
American English. Although here are two things that it blew my mind were particular to
British English: Bits and Bobs = things and use of the word dear to mean expensive.

I really dont want to discuss these things at the next hostel!

So I have partied a lot, but with chilians a lot as well as just travellers.

I wont write much now because Ive been suffering with a cold for more than a week, and
for the last few days I've had a very negative outlook on things (only because of the
cold!) I seem to pick up some bug or other every time I go away !

So Ill post a good update once Im feeling better.

Yeah, there were definitely conversations I was sick of having. It made me want to work
on my accent to sound more native-like so I could avoid those conversations all together.
