Hey guys, just want to ask something. Is "miswriting" a valid word? Like as a gerrund for "miswrite". Also, is this sentence correct?

"We apology for any miswritings/misprints occured."

I'm not a native speaker, but I've never heard of the word "to miswrite". My dictionary doesn't know it either, so it seems to be wrong. Also, the correct verb in your sentence is "to apologize", while "apology" is a noun.

In my dictionary there is an entry for “miswrite”.

It is defined as a transitive verb meaning “To write incorrectly or carelessly”.

It also states that “miswriting” is what I have learned as “present participle” of
“miswrite”.

Reference: Collins’ and Webster’s dictionaries. However, I haven’t found any entry in my
Cambridge’s (3rd edition) and Oxford (8th edition) dictionaries.

You could say:

"We apologise for any mistakes or misprints."

I don't think that I've ever heard "miswrite" but the
OED claims that it has been around since at least the
1500s.

Your sentence, however, will need some modifications:

Quote:

We apology for any miswritings/misprints occured.

"We apologise for any misprints that have occurred."

"apologize" not "apology"
Needs a "that".
"occured" is incorrect.

If you really want miswriting in there, then:

"We apologise for any miswritings or misprints that have occurred."

but it sounds "odd" to me.
