Congrats Emily! As you say, you have a whole 20 months to catch up!
I'm rounding TV episodes to a close number, even if they vary a bit episode to episode so
that I can multiply by the number of episodes and log a season at a time(I decided to do
my tweets per item so that I get a nice list.)
For movies I'm counting exact minutes. The movies I have that are longer than 90 minutes
more than make up for the ones that are shorter.

Just to be sure, because I've read a few versions about it:
One is allowed to read/watch the same book/film more than once, right?

Yes. However, some don't count rereading if it happens during the "main" reading process, nor rewinding while listening. But that's just peer pressure/different ideas of what counts as fair. I mostly use this to boost up to the needed length (from 48 to 50 etc), and sometimes it's hard to draw the line between deliberate rereading and stumbling/struggling. For example I might reread one paragraph because it's difficult to understand, and then I decide to reread the whole page because I'm enjoying/it starts to make more sense/simply because it counts for the challenge.

You can read one book 100 times, and watch one film 100 times, and you will have completed the challenge.
You would probably also go crazy, but that is another matter. 😊
Any reading again is allowed. If you have a book that is 480 pages, you can reread whichever 20 pages you
like, and it will in total count as 10 books. You can read the same book for every 5th book you read, if you
like, just to measure your success. Anything goes.

Could there be a listening / radio version of the challenge as well? :-)

I'm also going for six languages (French full + Chinese, Georgian, Norwegian, German and
Russian half) :) . I'm just not going to use twitter.

Well, audio books are allowed, but I am a little more hesitant about the radio. You need an iron will to stay
concentrated with something which normally just tends to be background noise. And I must admit that it was
with much hesitation that I went for audio book, since you lose the combination of audio and the visual which
you get through a film :-)

Oh, I was thinking more of things based around discussion (debate shows, informative stuff about science or history) or verbal narrative (e.g. readings of books / short stories), which is what I listen to -- not just having music on in the background. But it's fine, I understand not wanting to modify the conditions of the challenge. :-)
