Ive been studying Tagalog on and off for a while now, as it is so hard to find any spoken language programs.
I have used BYKI.com (Before you know it) and downloaded the language software there, and that was (and still is) really helpful.
Can anyone suggest any spoken materials that i can purchase or download.

Thanks.

Transparent Language's 101 Languages of the World has a basic Tagalog course with a vocabulary of around 1000 words. You can play the audio at four different speeds and keep repeating a word over and over until you have mastered the pronunciation.

Nodtronics in Australia have the same program for $10 Australian but with only 9 other languages.

You can check them out at http://www.nodtronics.com.au/products/education_language/ind ex.html and at http://www.transparent.com/

The courses are identical except you can download the Eureka program from Nodtronics entirely to your hard drive. I find it more convenient.

By the way, Tagalog is in volume 1 of Eureka's Languages of the World.

I see on checking out Transparent's website that you can download the Tagalog program directly from their site. It is exactly the same as the Eureka program so I can definitely recommend it.

Ah, a fellow Tagalog learner!

Yes, there is quite a dearth of materials for Tagalog, isn't there? I must admit that I have not advanced very far with the language at all. This is due to both the lack of resouces and other studies which have occupied my time. I'm going to the Philippines in January, but Tagalog is probably on the backburner until December.

Have you tried the Teach Yourself program yet?

I really wanted to study tagalog more than Thai, but the lack of good study materials has caused me to chose Thai first. I wish pimsleur would come out with a Tagalog program.
