Learning Russian is more difficult than learning Spanish or German.

Spanish is much easier to learn than Russian on several counts:

• Spanish vocabulary is much closer to English vocabulary.
• The case system in Spanish is as simple as in English
• Spanish words enjoy a perfectly phonetic spelling - not so in Russian
• Spanish is easier to pronunciate correctly

German, although harder than Spanish, still is easier to learn than Russian:

• The case system in German is quite rudimentary and suffers less exceptions
• Germans also has a perfect phonetic spelling
• German is an easy language to pronunciate correctly
