I have a question for the team:
There is supposedly a quote from Pushkin, which says that in the same way he did not like a red mouth without a smile, he did not like Russian language without gramatical errors. I have searched for it on the web, without success.
I'd appreciate if anyone could give me information about it.
See you tomorrow in skype session! |

As far as I remember, this is the context: Pushkin writes that pretty girls cannot express themselves in their native Russian as effectively as in French (the language of correspondence, high society chatter, etc.), but he does not mind because their beauty makes their bad grammar charming. |

Although our team is in principle already bursting at the seems from so many members, I would personally welcome Mark, if he is interested, I cannot speak for the others. In addition to him being a native speaker, he has an interesting perspective on things, and I enjoy his posts, so I am sure he would be a great asset.
My only fear is that I am scared straight as it is, knowing that a bunch of people will hear me speak/attempt to speak Russian. A native speaker might paralyze me alltogether :-) There is however no reason why my personal anxiety should have any bearing on this, so if he would agree to join us I am sure we would all benefit from that. Good initiative! |

I'll ask him if ihe is interested. I think that it would be useful because he can check our grammar and accent from the native speaker point of view.

If someone would be kind enough to forward the dialogues
to tarvos I would really appreciate it. I'm out of town all day and won't have access
to my computer until late this evening.

Great news! Mapk has posted a comment in my log, saying he is interested in joining our team. I asked him to post an introduction of himself in Sputnik team log. Also I asked him if he could attend the skype session tomorrow Sunday.

Great! Make sure that he makes his Skype adress known to the rest of us too, and in particular Tecktight, who is the one who will make the call.
Is there anyone who will participate tomorrow who has not passed around his/her Skype address?
