Uhhh.... Dutch distinguishes between voiced and voiceless /x/. To me their /g/ sounds

There are two variants of g there. In Southern Russia they pronounce it mostly as a
voiced [x], but in Ukraine in some parts of Russia they pronounce it as a voiced [h]. This however depends on the position of the g. Russians do not hear the difference between [h] and [x] but they can always hear the difference between voiced and voiceless consonants. 1 person has voted this message useful | |||

I see. But I used the h sympol because in IPA it is used for the voiceless sound.

I am putting this log on hold for some days temporarily while I sort out urgent thesis
