My studies are going well lately. I will leave soon (changing for a job interview), but
I have put my Portuguese files on my MP3 player. (Assimil Portugees, that is - I have
the audio recordings and the textbook is in Dutch - for a change).
I'm pretty bored of my old materials (I have 8 more active wave lessons to go for
Hebrew), but since I will have 6 weeks in Romania (which will be mostly in Romanian of
course) I can do with some encouragement for other languages - I recently also
downloaded DLI Korean (but that's too big for my phone because I need to buy another
memory card in that case. I will do Korean next though, and Portuguese is going to be
my next dabbling language - I have already dabbled a bit in Icelandic, and I think that
from October onwards Icelandic will be a three-month-project (due to lack of materials)
where I take it up a level. (That is to say I will do it for this year's last 6WC).
But for languages I want to seriously speak, Korean and Portuguese are the next
targets.
(Hebrew I speak okayishly, and will continue to improve of course. I have made
significant strides in my Hebrew).
Icelandic, Breton and Egyptian continue to be my dabbling languages.

Yes.
Let's just say the Russian I learn is slightly less than standard.
And if I am няшка, does that mean I get to be a character in some very colourful anime
series (and probably the cute clumsy guy as well)?

If you want, yes. But for me this word has no connection to anime :) I mean that's probably where it comes from (because of няяя!) but I don't really think of its origins when I use it.
In a way it's similar to the word teenager, because at least to me it's also an affix that got an independent life (also used in вкусняшка etc).
