My poor Spanish lesson was a real doozy tonight. These Advanced Assimil books are getting a little intense. My French lesson took me over an hour, and I could have easily spent twice that amount of time on it. I will spend some time reviewing it tomorrow before I jump into the next lesson. I've realized that, with my intense focus on finishing Spanish and French, and trying to do double lessons for Italian (6WC language), my German has sadly fallen to the wayside. I am thinking of challenging myself to watch a movie every day for two weeks in one of my Challenge languages. But that would be crazy, right? My Danish has needed a turbo-boost for some time, and consistency is what I need. The point of this challenge is to make a stab at learning every single vocabulary word in the book, and the way of going about it is to spend an hour on the book/CDs and/or learn at least 10 words from the current unit each day, word list style. If I watch an episode of any Scandinavian TV series or a film, I will allow that as my "cheat", but I doubt if there will be that many. ("Borgen" is coming to an end on BBC, for example). 1 person has voted this message useful | |||
