It seems that there isn't anyone studying Dutch this year! Or at least participating in the TAC. Well, this coming year I've decided to come full circle now that my Spanish is decent and focus on my Dutch again, and would much love for there to be a Dutch team if there are any interested people out there looking to begin, improve or further their Dutch in 2013 and would like to help form een echt gezellig Nederlands elftal (a lovely Dutch Team).
Tarvos, correct me if I'm imagining this but I think I remember reading a few pages ago that you'd be willing to act as a native helper/"godfather" if a Dutch Team were to arise? If enough people were to come together and a Dutch Team becomes a reality, I would be extremely appreciative if you'd be willing to help us out every now and then with some native insights or indeed take up that position. That goes for anyone else who'd like to help occasionally or take up a role as a godfather/godmother for the as yet tentative Dutch Team.
@ Hekje (als je deze draad volgt) - Ga je het Nederlands dit komend jaar biljven studeren? Zou je een elftal willen vormen?

After a long hard think I have decided to sign up to TAC 2013, but on an individual basis. As I have a lot of other commitments, professionally and privately, I do not feel it would be right to join a team unless I was sure that I could dedicate enough time to it.
Hopefully taking part in TAC and keeping a log will be an additional motivating factor (I have been a bit lazy lately as regards study). My languages for the year will be to continue with Russian and get serious about Greek.
My log will soon be created with an outline of what my goals are for the new year.

I'm taking Dutch! 95% sure :P. I'll spend at least half of the next year in the Netherlands, so I want to speak some Dutch.
Edit: I'm part of the Germanic Team. I don't know if it fits you well, since it's mainly focused on German.

I’ve created a Dutch team. So far only Vos and Dagane are on it.
The Germanic team is now the German team since everyone is studying German so there is no point in calling it anything else.
Ogrim, you are in as an individual.

Please put me down for the German team. I've just started learning and hope to reach an A1 level before
the new year, with the aim of being B1-B2 by the end of 2013.
This is my first TAC (and my first post) and I am excited about the community and supporting each other.

It would be nice if the name of a team would be in the language that team is studying. |

I agree [with Kerrie] that it would be a good idea and I think those teams that have names with other characters should try to come up with names using the Latin alphabet. |

I always liked that most team names are well distinguished based on languages they're written in. Exempli gratia Japanese doesn't even have Latin characters. Just my 2cents.

I'm curious what email client you have that doesn't do unicode? My last one was VMS MAIL

I use yahoo mail. I don't have problems with other emails I get, just the notices from here. I have no idea why.

Maybe it's not your mail but HTLAL mailing that doesn't support unicode.
