I also noticed that Google has a video chat feature through iGoogle (which will be
disconinued in Nov 2013) or through Gmail. You can also make phone calls through Gmail
as well.
i have made free phone calls through my Gmail account and it works really well.
I don't know about how many people at a time you can video chat with through Gmail. If
someone has the answer or experience with Gmail chat could you please enlighten the
rest
of us?
cheers
niels

I have a question. Is it ok to not know any Hebrew and still be a godmother for the
Mid.East team? I definitely want to help in any way I can, just double-checking the
requirements.
EDIT: I can't find a thread for the Mid.East team....

No. The godparent position is reserved for native or advanced speakers. No one expects
godparents of mixed language teams to know all the languages. I have you down as our
Arabic Godmother, here's the team's thread
Middle Eastern Team
@TheGreaterFool: People might still join for Hebrew in the next few weeks. So I posted
a note in the team thread inviting them to join.

I would like to try this again, but this time with German (Team Schnitzel). I tried to do this last year, but was sick most of the time. So, if I can try again I would like to concentrate on German as my main languge this year. I have enough reading material that I can at least get some exposure of the language on a regular basis.
Let me know if this is ok. If not, no worries.

I have to admit, TheGreaterFool, that name does indeed make me laugh.*snicker*
Elsinore13, you're very welcome to join us. There's 18(?) members so far and if we can all keep track of each other I'm sure there will be something for everybody!

Thanks Sunja! I will read through the Team Schnitzel thread tonight to become familiar with the resources/people. I just came back from holiday in Germany and now I have the "itch".
