Well it did seem like you said "thanks for the answer" just to reach 100 posts sooner.
It should've been pretty obvious that this has nothing to do with pro membership, and ideally any other possibilities don't depend on you - you just use the forum and wait. |

actually no, i didn't reply with the express reason of reaching 100 posts sooner, it was really more to be polite and appreciative of the people taking the time to respond to my questions. there are so many enthusiastic newbies on this site and to take the time to answer all of their questions takes time and effort. frankly i just didn't want to be rude. i will refrain from replying to each answer i get to avoid the appearance of spamming or running up my post count unnecessarily.
i am not going to let this get out of hand and continue to snipe at each other...i understand from others that you are in fact a very nice person and right now feeling the stress of your studies. i wish you luck with those and hopefully once this has passed we can perhaps get to know each other better and have a laugh about this later.
if i have offended you in anyway by my actions, i sincerely apologize.
in the meantime i will PM specific individuals with my specific technical questions.
cheers
niels

As I said, it would've been just fine with me if you had posted your questions in the technical room. I didn't mention it because I thought you'd figure this out for your NEXT question, but you asked here again.
Funny how others seem to know better whether I'm stressed or not...

Note to Brun_Ugle: I'm listed as doing French for Team PAX, which is correct, but I'm also doing Catalan as my second Romance language.
Thanks for all your work on this! It's already looking like it will be one of the most organized TACs I've seen in a while.

Another note to Brun Ugle: greenlemonsoda has joined the Polish Team - Żubr.
Yes, yes, yes, the herd is growing!
Thanks for your sterling work in organising us.

Update:
Khublei:
Added as godmother to Clan Lugus.
Tiktok:
Added to Team *jäŋe /*ledús
Mae:
The languages I list up are merely the languages that “qualify” you for the team, not all the languages you’re studying. Otherwise some people would take up three lines by themselves. So that’s why I only listed Swedish.
Jinx:
Added Catalan
greenlemonsoda:
Added to the Bisons
Created a Romance #3 team and added primosanchez

How do I go about creating a team? I am interested in creating a team called "Team Warsaw Pact" that will allow
anyone who is studying one or multiple languages of the countries that were part of the Warsaw Pact during the
Cold War. I am quite fascinated by the history of the Cold War, particularly the countries behind the 'iron curtain' or
Warsaw Pact, so I thought this would be a fun team to create :)
For example you can pick any of the main languages of the Warsaw Pact:
Russian
Polish
Czech
Slovak
German (East Germany)
Hungarian
Romanian
Bulgarian
Albanian
and any of the languages spoken in the vast states of the former USSR would be fair game as well (Ukrainian,
Belarusian, Lithuanian, etc).
If anyone is interested in joining this team, let me know and hopefully we can get a team together. I am very much
motivated and I will do my best to keep active in this journey, for it will be important for me to improve my ability to
speak and understand the following languages:
Russian
Polish
German
I plan to enter a PhD program and it will be essential that I become as close to fluent as I can in those languages. I
figured this is a great opportunity to get myself motivated for my long term goal and I also hope that we can build a
community to keep our spirits up :)
Again let me know if anyone is interested!

The languages covered are somewhat similar to those in *jäŋe / *ledús (Balto-Slavonic + Finno-Ugric) or Nebun (Romance + Slavonic). I had an inkling to form a kind of Eurasiatic team consisting of Uralic, Altaic and Balto-Slavonic but that got little interest.
If you can't resurrect the "Warsaw Pact", you'd be welcome on *jäŋe / *ledús, although I think that your focus on German, Polish and Russian would make joining the designated German, Polish and Russian teams sensible ideas.
