Brun Ugle, I'm now in Team Alef... waiting for a reply still for Nebun.

I think I'm going to have an individual log this year, unless anyone is up for a "Team Bad Brains" for people with
serious mental health hurdles to overcome (or actually even just difficult life hurdles in general). "Bad brains" is
what me and my autistic/paranoid/depressed friends like to call ourselves. :)

Actually, add angst-ridden and psychotic to the mix and I fit into that category myself, and I'm sure you could join us on the Japanese team again if you want. It's always fun to have another autistic/paranoid/depressed crazy person around.

Ok, I've "applied" for Nebun and Alef and we'll see how that goes.

It's quite unfortunate that Team Dutch didn't take off; I can't even see a thread for it which doesn't help. German is king of the Germanic languages, as we all know.

I don't think Yiddish would get many members, regardless of which year in which it would be started. Is it impossible to have provision for the less commonly learned languages?

Seems that you've put a lot of work into this, Brun Ugle. *tips hat*

Well, I had originally thought to make a Germanic team, but it ended up splitting into German, Scandinavian and Dutch teams. I'm not sure what happened to the Dutch team, but I could try asking one of the original members. I was amazed that we managed to get together not only one but two Scandinavian teams, so anything can happen.

We have had a less-commonly-studied-languages-team earlier, but this year a lot of those languages managed to form teams, like the Celtic team and the Middle Eastern team.

I think we could try again next year with a team for less commonly studied languages or perhaps form a team for "other" Germanic languages or something, but I don't think we'll be able to get one together at this point.

I've added you to Alef

"less-commonly-studied-languages-team(s)" which sit full of Irish and Arabic learners. Those seems almost common compared to my Navajo, Yiddish and Tok Pisin! haha

I'm happy waiting till next year. Thanks Brun Ugle. :)

I'd be happy to join the Japanese team if they want me. It seems very large though- I had trouble following all the
logs last year, this year I won't even bother to attempt it. It would be too much of a time commitment and I am very
busy. :(
I'm going to go start my log now. :)

Brun Ugle, Team Alef will remain open until further notice, so go ahead and accept any
new people who want to join. Of course, they still have to drop by the team thread and
introduce themselves.
