Sorry I had to leave early. I had some serious problems with my microphone. Don't know where they came from. I hope you had a nice chat anyway.

I was so sad I had to leave earlier too. I'm renovating my apartment and I had to leave
to buy some material while I could. Still, it was great being in touch with team fellows!

It went belly-up thanks to technical issues, but me and Cristina talked for a while
afterwards and that was great (we spoke in English, Swedish/Norwegian and French).

Whoa, nearly three months without a post! What's everyone doing? Lost in space???
For my part, I haven't been very active with my Russian lately, but I'm now trying to read books in Russian. I have moved on from my bilingual reader to a Russian translation of Agatha Christie and I hope it will work out. Furthermore, I want to review some advanced grammar points like participles and continue listening to Russian Podcast. This has turned out to be a great resource for intermediate students!
What are you guys doing? I know tarvos is going to Russia soon, fabriciocarraro practices his Russian at couchsurfing meetings, and Cristina has to handle more important issues than studying languages right now. What about the rest?
Давайте, космонавты, выучим русский вместе!

I'm quite far from reaching my goals, which would be reading Russian texts in a non- tiring way by the end of the year (that is, not looking up more than two words each sentence). I got stuck at some resources and I have a hard time memorizing Russian words, given that the Slavic vocabulary is totally alien to me. I've been through 3 Assimil editions and now I'm picking a textbook which is in Portuguese but I still find Russian hard. I'm impressed with how much progress Josquin, fabriciocarraro, tarvos and Cristina made in the previous Russian team and I'm far from that.
Surely I'm doing too little for Russian to my goals, by doing only 1 lesson a day. Only today I started to add a second resource for when I have extra time in the afternoon. I'm aware that this phase of the study of a language when you can only use textbooks and every native resource is overwhelming is the most annoying one, and given that my interest in Russian isn't the higher, I want to get past it asap, but on the other hand all that combined makes it harder for me to go through it. So I really have to be more patient and maybe wait at least two years as I did with Chinese (as a matter of fact, I DO find Russian harder than Chinese no matter what).

I'm still around. Still working on the Super Challenge, but I haven't done much with Russian lately. I'm hoping life settles down soon so I can get back to proper studying. :)
