So regarding the Skype thing?
- Should we set up a continous text chat that we can kind of drop in on whenever we
like?
- Schedule voice chats about once a week, once every two weeks, etc?
And regarding the team name, the Russian team used an abbreviation, which was not even
a Russian word. If they had to use a word, the only one known to the commoner would be
"perestroika", "glasnost" and "vodka". :p
I don't think we should think too much about what the others think; we should have a
team name that we can proudly associate ourselves with.
Sorry for being so active here... My only responsibillity is to keep the first few

Just a little question about Skype, since I'm not really into it, though I made an account. Is possible to make a group, so everyone could just drop by as you said? I mean, texting everybody at the same time in the same room. Also, is possible to have multiple videoconferences?

On the theme of team name for the Germanic one, we could opt for a name that is more humorous considering that the popular option of Germans as lacking humour...so my
suggestion would be for something outrageous like Team Schnitzel...everyone loves food,
schnitzel is a funny word...i dare you to say the name and not smile...
so Team Schnitzel would be my suggestion...
cheers

That would be great! I think we'd all need a Skype Premium subscription to see each other on the screen. I think it's free but I don't know what the restrictions are yet. (I'm reading about it as we speak). Can anybody from the Russian team provide any insight into Skype Premium? OTherwise I'll have to get back later with an answer.
@TheGreaterFool: That would certainly be an interesting name for a team. Hmmmm, it would probably make me want to eat instead of study :p

N-way videoconference is a premium feature, so we did audio-only. It's a bit strange because you get to talk to your buddies avatars instead of their 'live' pictures but it works. N-way text is possible I guess but I haven't tried.
I'm available (but not on Skype!) most evenings to try out anything.
As for how the 'group' call works exactly I haven't been in charge but I think it's a good idea if we all boned up on it so we can all be 'Skype calls officer' if necessary. I propose we designate a Skype calls officer and a couple of surrogate/deputy ones so Skype sessions can be held whenever one of them and at least one of the non-techies are present.
I volunteer for first deputy officer ;)
Edit: I said everything else I had to say about names over at the Japanese Team log so I won't repeat myself here...
