How do we edit the title of our log after we have already created it? I tried to do it the other day but couldn't figure
it out! |

I think you just have to select the 'edit' option on the first post of your thread. It should allow you to change the subject header.

Hi all
A couple of days late, but here is my log for this year's TAC!
http://how-to-learn-any-language.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?T ID=34833
As mentioned before, questions queries, etc about Korean can be simply posted on my log,
and I can help out!

Great to see that your log is up, Leurre!
By the way, what you wrote about Korean in your introduction totally resonates with me. There's just something addicting about the language and the culture... I wonder if I would still be studying if that wasn't the case.

Here is my January entry:
你好。 我是琼尼。我是英国人可是我住在柬埔寨。 我二十四岁。我有一位太太 她叫美玲。她会说中文,所以她能帮我练习普
通
话。现在我会写一点儿汉子, 可是写在电脑里更容易。我真的兴奋跟你们学 习中文!再见
Hello. I'm Jonny. I am English but I live in Cambodia. I am 24 years old. I have a wife, her name is Meiling. She can
speak Chinese and so she can help me practice Mandarin. Right now I can write some characters, but it is easier to
write on my computer. I am really excited to study Chinese with you all! Bye
Very basic and I can't write all of the characters that I used by hand, but I know them all to write them on my
computer via pinyin. When I know some more hanzi I hope to do challenges by writing it down and then taking a
photo to upload!
EDIT - Just changing 他 to 她 when talking about my wife! Thanks to Vermillion for letting me know!

It's good to see people starting to post their introductions. :)
I'll try and get mine up sometime this week.
Jonny - I think you missed changing one of the 他 to 她 (where you say your wife can help you practise).
I envy you Jonny. I wish I had someone at home who could help me practise. My family just thinks I'm weird. I can't even talk to them about languages. :(

Great incentive to find a wife who loves languages :-D My wife is awesome, she helped me when I was learning
Khmer, she is helping me now with Mandarin, and in the future she is going to help me with Cantonese!

@js6426, @Hidden Linguist: sorry to say that, but the challenge is given for the whole month, meaning you still have 23 days to prepare something a bit more "challenging". I can't say I'll do something great (and certainly I won't), but given that I'm a complete beginner in three of my languages, I'll certainly take the whole month before proposing something. I'm sure we can all push our limits a bit further with this challenge, even for languages we have just started studying :)
(edit: and now that I've said that, I guess I'll have no excuse if I don't challenge myself this time...)
