There's nothing like a fresh start. Hopefully I'll be able to take my languages to the next level.
This year my main languages are: English I want to do the TOEFL and improve my passive and active skills. Writing/speaking really need more attention. I'll use TOEFL-related material and keep watching series, films and reading books. I have Practical English Usage as reference material, which I didn't used much so far, but it's awesome. Another useful book I've got is Advanced English Practice, full of exercises and brief grammar explanations. German I'm aiming at solid A2 by the end of the year. My resources are Assimil German Without Toil 1965 edition, the Intensive German Course by Routledge, whose biggest problem is not having answer keys. I'm also thinking about buying the Klipp und Klar grammar, it's similar to the Grammaire Progressive Du Français. Finally, I'll stick to Michel Thomas. Russian The goal here is to get to A2 level, if possible. I'll use Assimil Russian 2011, and by February I'll have finnished relistening to Michel Thomas Advanced Course and the Russian Cases course at Russian For Free. French Same goal as Russian and German, however, French is not high priority now. When I reach a good level at German I will focus on French. I already did almost half the lessons of the Grammaire Progressive Du Français, and listened to Michel Thomas CD01 and 02. Due to my classes at university, I've already acquired a good reading comprehension and vocabulary. ==== These goals are for the TAC and the Super Challenge, and they will be updated if not daily, whenever I finnish an activity. 1 person has voted this message useful | |||

About German: have you tried "em Übungsgrammatik"? It may be a little hard at the beginning (it's targeted at high beginners and intermediate learners) but it's definitely worth considering. 1 person has voted this message useful | |||

Hallo, Julie! Thanks for you kind words :) When I was at the bookstore I saw the "em Übungsgrammatik" and was ready to buy it when I saw the Klipp und Klar. I think it's a very good deal, though.
