Yay, I finally finished my 947 page book. This one only took me three weeks to read, so I think I'm getting faster. :)

Just out of curiosity, how many people are still aiming to finish their Challenge(s)?

I am still aiming to finish Spanish (49 books so far, the movies are done).

I know I will not come close with French, but I am still going to try to read a few books - maybe 800 or 1000 pages. I know that's not anywhere near what I originally aimed for but. . .

I am still proud of how far I've come. :)

I'll definitely finish with French, and should with Dutch. Japanese: yes for the films, but possibly not for the books - I'm still going to try and it's definitely getting easier. For Spanish, I should finish the films, but probably not the books as I'm at about 5 now - given I started from practically no Spanish in January, I think getting to 10 or 15 would be a more realistic goal. I am going to Spain in September though, so that might give me the impetus to do more.

Regardless of what I finish, I'll still be pleased with the progress I've made. I took maybe a month off with French, and when I picked up a book last week it was so much easier that it was when the challenge started - for me, the method definitely works and is fun along the way.

I still intend to finish both Advanced Super Challenges. I have movie part of English done and the other three parts are going quite well. However, I have dropped my Half Challenges (Spanish and German), despite having a part done. I don't regret, I'll take those two as full challenges in the next round. But I will finnish both the Advanced Ones! I really want to.

I intend to finish the French full challenge, but it's going to be a close call! Some of
the books I've been reading are very slow going, so I'll need to balance them out with
faster books.

I should be able to finish the movies for the Spanish half challenge too, but not sure
I'll be able to finish the reading. I'm using Harry Potter, so at least it's relative
fast reading.

It's nice seeing people talk about the next round already. I'll be there for sure.

Yes. And when speaking about it, I accidentally wrote "finnish" instead of "finish". Not sure whether it is just a typo or a sign :-)

My real aim in signing up for the 1/2 challenge was to help with learning Chinese characters. Finished my 50 movies a while ago and then stopped tracking those. The characters took a while to get going since they've intimidated me from childhood (I'm ethnic Chinese). Now books completed;
1..西遊記 (graphic novel) which counts as 1/5 of a book
2..巧克力冒險工廠 (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory), 250-260 pages
3..第十四道門 (Coraline), about 180 pages

I'm currently reading 飛天巨桃歷險記 (James and the Giant Peach). Am somewhere in the 2100 character range at the moment as things have slowed down a bit.
