FSI 15
Destinos - 19-21 El Progreso del Peregrino - 10 pages Other Reading -15 minutes Listening - 30 minutes Vocabulary from Reading - 10 minutes So I've finished the first book of FSI and feel very releaved to finally have this "foundation" laid. I know it's a mental thing, but it's a huge encouragement to me. Also, I moved forward a bit in the Destinos series and was able to read a bit of my book, el Progeso del peregrino. There is a lot of vocab I don't understand in this book, but I enjoy reading it any way. Also, I'm listening, reading and studying new vocabulary from the book of Titus, in the Biblia NVI. I'm enjoying this greatly, as this is the main reason I want to learn. To share with others about Jesus and His saving power. FSI 16
Destinos 22 Reading 30 minutes Listening 20 minutes Watched Jack the Giant Slayer with Spanish Subtitles Last week was a busy week, full of different duties that have put Spanish study on the back burner. The rest of the month into the first half of January look to be pretty busy, but I'm hoping to get through Lesson 20 this month. This sets the short term goal back (finish unit 30 by end of January) and the medium term goal (finish FSI by the end of April) as well, but I can't help that. I'll just keep clicking along and work to get these next 4 lesson completed by the end of December. 1 person has voted this message useful | |||

El Duodecimo Iman - 140 pages
FSI - 19 (Working on Unit 20) With the Christmas season came a very busy schedule, with my in-laws (who I really do love) coming in for 3 weeks. I was given Joel Rosenberg's Politcal triology (Twelfth Imam, Tehran Initiative and the Damascus Countdown - all in Spanish) which equals about 1600 pages of Spanish reading. The vocabulary is sooooo extensive, and it combines all the elements I enjoy in a book. I've already ready about 140 pages of the first book. I'm workin on FSI Unit 20 and expect to be on it for a few extra days. I hope all is well to the rest of you. 1 person has voted this message useful | |||

FSI- still working on unit 20
El Duodecimo Iman - Up to Page 208 (68 addtl pages read) FSI Unit 20 has been tough and I thought about moving on...but I prayed and worked hard and I've really gotten a lot down! I went from about 10-15% comprehension on the dual clitics to about 75%. I plan to finish this up and move on to/complete Unit 21 this week. 1 person has voted this message useful | |||
