This is another reason that my interest in the Scandinavian languages has increased: the
almost exponential increase in the interest of chess (sjakk/skak) in Scandinavia. In
fact, most of my real-life practise in Scandinavian languages is with Scandinavian chess
players...

Obrigado pelos endereços, I did not know that those existed. I shall have a look.

I hope to move to Scandinavia someday, unsure exactly which of Norway, Sweden, or
Denmark for their quality of life, and all have strong chemical industries (I once did a
report about hypothetical plant design for Sweden in university two years ago, and Norway
have a very strong petroleum industry), so learning their languages makes sense, and
helps that they are intriguing anyway.

Annoying that there are few resources for Danish, for example, I have two Danish learning books compared to the 40 or so that I have on my bookshelf for Spanish that I have had since starting that language in 2003.

But Danish has absolutely wonderful resources in dr.dk and Den Danske Ordbog http://ordnet.dk/ddo. Is there a
better free online one-stop-shop media-dictionary combo in any language? I think I could imagine learning
fluent Danish even if those two websites were the only thing that existed in Danish in the entire world.

If you do find more good instructional books you'll probably speak more correctly than me though.

I usually use dr.dk for nyheder, but I would enjoy having CEFR-scaled Danish coursebooks,
I only have the Assimil Danish (via French) course and the new Teach Yourself course from
2013. Or is there more for learning in dr.dk whereof I am unaware? I saw some books like
Aktivt Dansk, but I am unsure what their content is.

Speaking of Scandinavia, I had a strange day for language learning: I went to IKEA today
and bought some marineret sild, rugbrød, and kartofflerkrisps, and eating some right now
during Danish. I also gathered a free IKEA furniture guide printed in Spanish, so I could
read that I suppose..
