Takk vær ikke så mange Dansk lærbøgen, besluttede jeg at købe
Comprehensive Danish Grammar, en noget stor bøg der handler om Danskgrammatik, 752 pp--jeg skal jo have nu nogen mere at læse. I don't follow your log closely, but you certainly seem to have a good grasp of grammatical concepts, even if sometimes it seems a little random. All in all, it's one of the best examples I see on the forum (even though the average is not all that good, I'm afraid). I'm sure you could come to Lisbon and get your point across most of the times, and you wouldn't have to rely on the proverbial local tolerance towards foreigners. One thing I notice often is the interference of Spanish expressions. We don't use expressions like "como para comunicar-me" or "quando me for enfim a". Most of your spelling errors (not that many overall) arise from the same interference. Please don't take this as negative criticism. You write well. Thanks, no problem. It is unsurpising, as I always have the feeling that I sound strange
or eccentric in Portuguese because Spanish diffuses in some way even though I try not to have it happen. The same happens when I do things like mixing Danish, Norwegian, and Swedish accidentally, although in this case since Spanish is my strongest foreign language, those expressions (or at least whatever their direct word equivalents would be) arise automatically without my even noticing. Unfortunately I do not practise Portuguese as much though. What is good for improvement? I could read more, but I am unsure if that makes me sound less weird or not. Or perhaps watch more RTP to hear what sounds strange and what does not. 1 person has voted this message useful | |||

How do you pluck the oddity from the language, especially if it's gramatically acceptable? That's not easy.
That's also the reason why I've never learned a language without a teacher. Listening to a hundred newscasts will add some expressions and fluency, but it won't tell you what you're doing wrong. A person might. Beyond a certain level, there's no substitute for a native speaker. Maybe you know of someone you can talk to occasionally, on a friendly basis? Besides that, nothing comes to mind. I agree with Luso. I don't think more RTP will help. A weekly one hour session with a tutor or even a conversation partner would probably be a more productive use of the extra time. Combine that with extensive reading and maybe a TV series and it would help to consolidate. Given that you are studying five other languages at the same time, that may not be possible. Having a tutor is probably quite helpful, but the costs are usually the problem. I am
still a student, so it would be quite bad for the wallet. I could probably try IM chat with acquaintances from Portugal at some point. I currently use a grammar book for Portuguese, but it is quite good to know that my grammar and syntax were acceptable beforehand anyway. 1 person has voted this message useful | |||

Ik merk dat ik reeds tot nu toe mijn huidige vooruitgang bijgewerkt niet, maar als men
zegt, beter vroeger dan later, of zowel beter vroeger dan nooit. Ik sta op Les 41 uit 85 van La Pratique du Néerlandais (1978), de werkelijkheid is dat ik nog minder vrijtijd beschik. Vanaf binnenkort zal ik dus het Nederlands en halv mijn andere talen aan inheemse materialen wijzigen. Naar NOSprogramma's te kijken, het nieuws (De Telegraaf, tussen andere) te lezen, met een dagelijks televisienieuws (uit BNR Radio of Nieuwsuur of zoiets) te luisteren of te kijken zijn allemaal van plan. Wat betreft de andere talen, de hoofdtalen, die ik werkelijk niet zullen willen nemen, zijn het Spaans, het Nederlands, het Deens, en het Zweeds. De andere zal ik met inheemse materialen studeren. De vier eerste genoemde zullen dus op wat een actieve manier gestudeerd worden. Ik kan het Spaans, het Frans, en het Portugees op een aanvaardbaar niveau houden, het Spaans wordt ontwijfelijk daarvoor mijn sterkste taal, en zo hoop ik zullen staan. Dit is zeker niet te bedoelen dat ik de andere vier talen te leren blijven stoppen, maar dat er zal een actieve methode in pas de andere vier gebruiken wordt. Nu--hiervandaan naar Les 42 van LPDN (Le Pratique du Néerlandais) heen. Mijn doel in het Nederlands is B2 op ten einde van het jaar (juist, dit jaar, d.w.z., 31/12/2014). Ik herhaal mij, dat ik nog steeds precies mijn eigen Nederlandsniveau niet ken, maar dit gezegd, ik weet reeds dat ik veel fouten maak.
