Spanish
German
Russian
Japanese
Mandarin
4 are easy to choose and they are the languages I am actively trying to improve at the
moment. The fifth one is hard to choose so I picked the language that I could communicate
best with my relatives besides English over another language which gives me more access
to great writing like French or Sanskrit or something.

Hmmm, this is a difficult decision to make. Not counting Arabic because I've achieved a more advanced level, the
next 5 in order of desire to achieve near native fluency would be:
1) German
2) Spanish
3) French
4) Russian
5) Persian

I have an exceptionally long list of approximately thirty languages, so I will have a
very hard time choosing. Anyway, here is my list:
Dutch
Spanish
Mandarin
Arabic
Norwegian

It depends on how I'm feeling! At the moment it would probably be:
1. German
2. Welsh
3. Latin
4. Hebrew (modern)
5. Greek (modern)

This is relatively easy for me, having a very modest hit list!
In order of interest:
1.German
2.French
3.Italian
4.Russian
5.Spanish

Only on this forum would a hit list of five foreign languages be "very modest"!
For my part, I'll exclude Japanese (in which I'm probably at either basic or advanced fluency, depending on the harshness of the criteria) and my native English, so the list would run:
1. Korean
2. Mandarin
3. Arabic
4. Russian
5. Hindi
