No choice? Is that because you plan on using an Assimil course that's not based in English?

Yes, I do. I plan on learning French and possibly German before anything else (after I finish my Spanish), but I'm not really sure.
Some of the Assimil courses not available in English I'm interested in (these would all be years in the future, as I'm just now starting my "language journey"):
Using German
Using Italian
Swahili
Hindi
Japanese
Russian
Greek
Turkish
Obviously I will never make it through all of these, and I really have no idea just how many languages I plan to learn, or how well I will learn them. All I know for sure is that I want to know a great number of them.

Hmm... I'm learning Spanish now using "Spanish With Ease," and I will probably learn French when I'm at a suitable level. |

I must admit to now being extremely confused. I have a second-hand copy of "Le nouvel Espanol sans peine" which I can't find on the Assimil site at all - there only appears to be "L'espanol sans peine". It has 109 lessons over 475 pages rather than...
"Un livre format 12 x 18 relié-cousu de 100 leçons en 608 pages."
It has a different ISBN and a different front cover. How many lessons does the English version have?
Andy.

http://www.europeanbook.com/langlearning.html sells Assimil courses in the US and the "Using" courses are cheaper than Amazon. Using French with CDs $75, Using Spanish with CDs $95. That's where I made my purchases of the advanced books.

I just found this link. If you are an Assimil fan and can read French, this site is great. Amazon.fr has a whole category devoted to Assimil:

I used to enjoy browsing the Assimil page(s) at Amazon but it looks as if it's been removed. I've been trying for the past few days and I keep on getting a "page not found" error. Does anyone know what's going on?

I’ve had the same problem, I can still find the URL in Google, but Amazon.fr removed it from their directory. Darn! :(

All the courses are still available if you search for them by name (at least the ones I looked for were!). They're just not in a dedicated Assimil section like they used to be.
