Vietnamese
tinh - 1. star, 2. bright/clear, 3. to gather, 4. banner, 5. raw meat, 6. putrid smell, 7. fresh, 8. wild flower, 9. well-trained, 10. a type of powder substance, 11. sperm, 12. intelligent, 13. early morning, 14. creature, 15. skillful, 16. morale, 17. understanding, 18. asteroid, 19. thoughtful, 20. deductive.
..."context is the key" and of course many of these meanings usually pair 'tinh' with another word...and you thought Chinese was bad, at least they have different characters lol. Anyways, 'tinh' by itself usually only refers to meanings 1, 2, 10.

Wakarimashta! - I understand
Wakarimasen! - I don't understand
Wakarimaska? - Do you understand
I know these because I've watched Shogun ^_^. Could someone please give the kana and kanji? Also, if someone could explain why "do YOU understand" starts with Wa (if it really does)
