I like the Living Language Ultimate Series a lot. I just picked up TY Arabic and I don't mind it at all. I actually enjoy it. The audio could do without the English though. I have not tried any of the Assimil programs yet but look forward to getting some actually.

Assimil and Living Language Ultimate series are the two resources I like the best for studying a language .
I find also the lingQ site to be another very good resourse to use once you have attained an intermediat level. I've been using it for a couple of months now, for studiyng German at an itermediate/advanced level, and it works wonderfully well for me.

I have no access to Paypal and therefore no access to all of these language learning programs based on English. But I know Assimil, which is not suitable for me, because it is based on making translations all the time. The Vera Birkenbihl method is only useful for me an additional audiotraining. It's a bit of a disadvantage that I'm not familiar with the favourite English based language programs of the majority of the forum members here.

Well I'm sure you can order them from Amazon.co.uk. I have never had any problem ordering things from Amazon.de using a UK credit card.
