MT: one technical question, my Spanish course just arrived and I started to copy it to itunes to move it to the
ipod. The first CD's are converted without problem but starting at CD 5 always the last track on the CD can not
be copied to itunes. Guess this is a copy protection feature, can anyone confirm this?

Thank you.

Regards,

Michael

I've copied various MT CDs in the past, and not had problems.

I know nothing about iTunes, but to just extract the audio files (either as normal
audio or to convert in flight to MP3 format, I highly recommend some freeware called
"Exact Audio Copy".

It's really designed for getting stuff off old and possibly scratched CDs, and it's
optimised for that, but I find it pretty useful for getting stuff off CDs in general.

You might have to install a plugin to do the MP3 conversion - I can't quite remember;
it might have been for an older version that I had to do that.
I found it reasonably intuitive to use as well.

Assuming you can get that last file off, and into MP3 format, presumably one can use
normal Windows tools to get it into iTunes.

I didn't have that problem either; I wonder if it's a scratch on the CD?

I have noticed that the digital labeling of MT tracks is occassionally off; it might be copying one track to a
different location (for Pimsleur this happens all the time).

Have you tried manually transferring the missing files to a folder, and then opening them?

My favourite keeps changing but for the past 5 months it has been Yabla. I now have a french, chinese and Spanish
membership with them. After 5 months of using mainly yabla i can have a good conversation in Spanish.

Thank you very much, seems to be an issue of the CD's using a different drive most of the CD's could be
loaded, but also a problem with the last track on 2 CD's.

No, they have "L'Anglais d'Amérique" in French, German, Spanish, Italian and Dutch bases.

Thanks for the answer. I just began to use Assimil, and I don't know what all the hype is
all about? Pimsleur beats it by far.
