Not a great deal to report back on over the past month.
Notably I've attended a couple of French meet-ups with varying degrees of success. I've seen 3 or 4 films. I've listened to several podcasts. Fair to middling. German classes had stopped but I've got through a few Assimil lessons. Not making much progress with German at the moment. 1 person has voted this message useful | |

Meet-ups, podcasts, films...it all adds up in the end mate. :) Have you watched Intouchables anywhere along the line? I just saw this the other day and really enjoyed it.

I have been the same Adrean with regards to language learning. Just a little over time
but something is better than nothing I think. And I, too, find German quite tricky especially in comparison to French and Spanish. I can't believe there is a myth that German is closer to English than French and Spanish :o Anyway, I hope you are well and good luck with the teaching assistant job in France. @Teango - No I haven't seen Intouchables yet but I will definitely track down a copy
I've just got news that I'm going to be posted in Bordeaux as a language assistant in October. I will teaching at a high school for engineering type students. Very excited. In the mean time I'm going to get my French up to speed like a mad man and do some kind of TEFL course to understand some teaching concepts.
