If there's a Scandinavian team, I'd like to sign up exclusively for Danish and see how far I can get with it.

That's great to hear! Our team will
surely benefit from your experience. :-)
So, another update on those who have expressed interest in Team Dutch: NMW, Serpent, fabriciocarraro, geoffw,
jeff_lindqvist, myself
Guardian angel: Tarvos
Seems like enough for a team to me, especially if any of the people I've PMed get back to me as well. Thoughts
on a team name? |

There's now a thread for discussing team names :-)

Spanish appears to be as strong as always and so does French. Perhaps those two may deserve two tems: Spanish beginner and advanced and French beginner and advanced? |

Team ONE and Team Iberia should attract a lot of Spanish learners. I don't think we need two more teams on top of that.
Yay Team Iberia, btw! It doesn't seem like there's going to be a Romance team this year, so Portuguese learners need some space. And how about including the minority languages like Galician and Catalan? Maybe not Basque though, it's completely unrelated...

Well, if the minority languages were in, than Iberia would sound even better. After all, we had a few Catalan learners (like Jinx) and perhaps more. :-)

Never done a regular log before or even much more than lurking on this site, but here goes:
Polish: A1/2 -> B2
French: "Scratch" -> B1

My turn!
Russian A2-B1 , my goal is to get rid of textbooks. Want to join a Russian Team,
like Mir last year.
NorwegianB1-B2, my goal is B2. Will be a native-material only language. Want to
join a Scandinavian team like Team Viking last year.
Chinese (Mandarin)A2-B1, my goal is to consolidate a team. I may join a Chinese-
only team, but not a CJK team, that would mean to deviate focus.
FrenchB2, my goal is C1. I need lots of input. I'd join a team if it were for
hangouts and writing challenges.
GermanA2-B1. Wouldn't want to join a team specifically for this one, but I'd
like to stay tuned for hangouts.
EstonianA0. I'd like to join *jäŋe/*ledús , but before I start it I'd need to
leave textbooks either for Russian or for Georgian. Might happen for Georgian, but just
because it has less textbooks.
Rare languages team
I'd join it with Georgian (A2-B1, still in need of input and good textbooks, my
goal is to consolidate b1 and to be able to consider going to Georgia in 2015) and with
Papiamento(B2, I just want to keep working on listening comprehension and help
people out).
Now something came to my mind: Why can't Papiamento belong to an Iberian team? Then I'd
join it, after all I'm going to Buenos Aires in May and still don't know what to do
about that.

Oh, Papiamento can definitely count! I just didn't think of it, sorry.
Judging purely by those books you posted, tbh :P
