The Godfather takes protection money from his team mates... ;)
Joking apart, those are just names but they mean the same: A native speaker who offers his advice to the team.

In that case, I'll make you an offer you can't refuse...
Sign me up for the Greek team's Godmother. We'll discuss the price later :)

Next year I'll be doing:
- low-intensity Korean (now B1-B2)
- higher-intensity Persian (now ~A1)
If-by miracle-there's a dedicated Persian team or even one for Iranian languages (Kurdish, Pahsto, anyone?) I'd love to join that. Maybe also a rare languages team, it depends on what everyone else would be studying.
If there's a dedicated Asian or Korean team, I'd also consider that. I'll be reading the logs anyway.

I'm speaking for Team ONE.
The most important principle of this team is the studying of one language. Since it's not rare case for language learners here on HTLAL, I had to add one condition: that language should be your first language to learn, excluding English if you are non-native (like me). It's not at all important what language you intend to study.
The level of language also doesn't matter. The ideal situation would be if we'll have learners of different level to help each other with their studies. New language wanderers will get help from experienced one and vice versa. I was told once that teaching can help you to understand something even better, so why not to use it?
I don't know if this idea will work, but if it will, I'm very likely to become a team leader. From all who look forward to join the team, I would also ask to be present. The whole idea will lead to nothing if you'll be absent for a months or wouldn't write in your logs for a long time.
Ok, I'm done with introduction for the time being. For any questions you can PM me or ask me in my log, I'll gladly help you.
As for me, I do not consider to participate in several teams, so my aim right now is for successful building of Team ONE.

Hi there, enjoyed reading some of this last year so would like to participate this year,
if a newb is allowed.
Spanish; A2 --> B1 (Pass a B1 exam, begin to approach B2 towards end of year).
French; Scratch --> Solid B1.
I'd be interested in joining a Romance languages team or whatever's going.
