I don't know whether anyone has mentioned this in a previous discussion thread; however, I came across an offer from Der Spiegel of a large collection of International Films that appear to have be dubbed in German and that include subtitles in German, which would make them quite suitable for Intermediate-Advanced students of German. Here is the LINK: Grosse Kinomomente.

It is likely that these DVDs are Region Code 2 (Europe). However, as far as I understand, there exists a way by which the code can be bypassed. Comments, anyone?

Seems they will sell you 25 DVDs of pretty good films for €172. It's not clear to me whether you get to choose which 25 out of the 125 total, or if they just come in blocks. I guess the value depends on how many of those films you've already seen or would want to watch.

Personally I don't need all those DVDs, I sometimes watch German films online on Mubi or other streaming sites. But if you are looking to start a physical collection of German-language DVDs... why not? Whether you can play Region 2 discs will depend on your model of DVD player and technical skills (often you can enable it just by entering a special code on your remote).

6.88 Euros/DVD sounds expensive to me.

I'd suggest checking out ebay.de for better deals. Have a look here: Ebay.de

For instance: 100 DVDs for 78 Euros
